“Just overall epitomized what a great law enforcement officer is. “He was a great member of the community, him and his family,” Chew said. We had one particular that stood out to me and that was the name EZ after the late Ed Zubrzycki.”Ĭhew said Zubrzycki was a good friend of the department since many officers had worked with him on cases over the years. “We had over a couple of hundred submissions from the kids and pictures were drawn. “Every time we get a K-9 - we started it last time around - we’ve left it up to the children in our community to submit names and then our handler and the committee would pick a name since that’s what our community’s about,” Chew said.
